Surprised 😱 !!! But its a truth and it is not bitter. Yes like CD or DVD 💿 (Digital Video disc) I still remembered because I asked my friend 👤 in exam and I successfully got 2 marks in it. So where we were, hmm! I was telling you that you can use your pendrive as a bootable device to install Windows like XP, 7, 8.1 or 10 in your PC or laptop. If you are thinking 💭 that it would be a tough job to implement it, sorry to say but I’m a lazy guy 👤 and I hate tough work , so how can I publish hard method  it is hell easy to understand and implement too, just stay with me  like you always do to know about it.

The bootable word refers to boot the computer, with some sort of software 💿. It automatically catches the important booting system and starts booting itself when starting the computer. So, if you have working booting files 📁 in your pen drive it will automatically show at the time of starting the computer. After that, you can proceed further to install your windows.

There are lots of methods on the internet to make bootable pendrive , but well I will tell you which I tested and it actually practically worked for me. I am not going to tell you verbally but I will tell you practical steps and those steps will work 100%.

How 🤔 to Change Settings in BIOS for bootable Pendrive ?

In most of the computer 🖥 f2 button is for BIOS, well you can try to press each button to open BIOS Settings.

  • Restart your computer.
  • Then quickly press button that opens up BIOS Menu (Like f2, f8, f1)
  • After that, go to that Boot menu.
  • Actually, each BIOS menu work has different options according to the generation of computers.
  • You will find 🔎 out that CD/DVD boot menu is at top.
  • There will be Removable disk boot option, bring that option to the top.
  • We are done.

How to Make Bootable Pendrive For Windows 7, Create Bootable Usb From ISO

I will show you two methods through which you can make your pen drive bootable, first one is with the help of software and the second one is with the help of cmd (Command Prompt)

Note: This method is 100% working tested by me. You only need to change things, which I will tell you and rest of the other settings should be default.

(Method 1) How to make bootable pendrive for windows 7 with the help of software:

  • You will need to download a software called Rufus 😊

  Download Now

  •  Just 1MB size
  • Insert pen drive in your system 🖥.
  • Open that tool.
  • Select Partition Scheme and target system type to MBR partition scheme for BIOS or UEFI computers
  • Select File System to NTFS
  • Select your ISO image Windows file from Create a bootable disk using, you will see DVD 💿 icon there, select ISO from that icon.
  • Then Click Start button 🔘.

Within 5 minutes 🕛, your pen drive will be bootable. After that, you can able to install windows without any CD, No bullshit 😜.

(Method 2) How to make bootable pendrive with the help of Command Prompt (CMD):

This is the second method to make or create bootable pendrive, it is quite different from the first method first. But it is not too much tough to just follow my instruction carefully to implement it and make or create a bootable pendrive in just 2 minutes.

  • First step is open Command Prompt. You should have to open CMD as an Administrator. But there is one problem that it will make Pendrive bootable on Windows Vista, 7 and 8 not in windows XP.
  • After opening CMD, enter disk part as a command over there
  • Then it will show you some information about your PC. After you should have to enter list disk as an another command.
  • Now, it will show you, your connected disks. Then enter next command there select disk @ you should replace @ with your disk number.
  • Now you should clean your drive, all you need to do is just enter new command there clean
  • Now, this is the important step for making bootable Pendrive. Enter command create partition primary it will create a partition in your Pendrive.
  • It means you can able to select your new partition. Enter new command here select partition 1 and then hit enter. When you will see status Active then enter another command active and press enter. With the help of those commands, it will activate the partition.
  • Now all set to format your USB Drive. Enter this command format fs=32 and click enter key. You can able to see progress in percentage “%”.
  • Enter this command assign and click enter, Then type exit for ending disk management program.
  • The last step is that you have to copy all windows files to USB Drive. As it made your Pendrive bootable. Now you are ready to go.
